Inaugurated on the 3rd of November, the Central Food Production Unit (UCPA) produces 11,000 meals every day destined for hospital patients and staff canteens at 9 CHU sites in Lyon.
Located in Zac des lumières in Saint Priest, this giant 4600 m2 kitchen has modernised and improved the quality of meals and the working conditions of its staff. Through the use of new technologies (ice slurry, low temperature vacuum cooking), it has made advances in terms of efficiency and optimising operating costs at the same time as offering a high quality service.
